  • Pothamedu: Pothamedu lies at a distance of 6 kilometer of Munnar. Pothamedu is ideal for mountain walks and trekking. This place with breathtaking scenery, lush mountains and rolling hills is one of the best attractions in Munnar. Pothamedu offers stunning vistas of cardamom plantations, coffee and tea gardens.
  • Mattupetty: Mattupetty is located at a 13 kilometer distance from Munnar and the altitude of 1700 meters. Mattupetty is popular for the project of Indo-Swiss livestock and there are several dairy farms boasting of high specialization. Several varieties f high-yielding cattle are bred here. Visitors can visit three among the 11 cattle sheds. Just at a short distance from the dairy farm are the Mattupetty dam and lake. This is an ideal picnic spot. The Kundala Lake and the Kundala tea plantations, lying in the vicinity are other tourist attractions. There are boating facilities in the Mattupetty Dam, provided by DTPC Idukki.
  • Pallivasal: This place lies at a distance of 8 kilometers from Munnar and is the place where the first Hydro Electric Project of Kerala took off. The scenery is breathtaking.
  • Devikulam: Devikulam is an idyllic hill station lying at a distance of 7 kilometer from Munnar. Experience is soothing in this hill station with cool mountain breeze, velevet lawns and beautiful flora and fauna.
  • Nyayamakad: This land boasts of stunning waterfalls. Nyayamakad is located between Rajamala and Munnar. From Munnar Nyayamakad is 10 kilometer. From 1600 meters the water falls like cascade. This place is excellent for trekking with scenic beauty in abundance everywhere.
  • Attukal: With rolling hills and waterfalls Attukal is attractive. Located between Pallivasal and Munnar, this place is good for long treks. Attukal is located at a distance of 9 kilometer from Munnar.
  • Lock Heart Gap: With misty hills, cool mountain air and breathtaking vista, Lock Heart Gap is an ideal tourist place in Munnar. Lock Heart Gap is located at adistance of 13 kilometer from Munnar.
