Baga Beach

Goa, one of the most famous tourist destinations in India, is popular worldwide for being home to numerous exotic sandy beaches that attract visitors and tourists to Goa not only from various places in India but also from the overseas. One of the most interesting of theses beaches in Goa is the Baga Beach. A portion of the extensive 30 km beach along the western coastline of Goa, the wondrous Baga Beach is situated within 10 km in the west of Mapusa being a part of the famous Calangute Beach.
Starting from the massive Fort Aguada continuing along the Sinquerium Beach and the Candolim Beach, the 30 km coastline meets the Calangute Beach and continues as the Baga Beach, the Anjuna Beach, the Vagator Beach and lastly ends at the Chapora Fort and Chapora Beach. Baga Beach is easily accessible from the Calangute Beach and Mapusa from where regular bus services are available for the Baga Beach, the closest bus station to this beach in Goa being the KTC bus station at Mapusa.

Positioned on a cliffy land along the 30 km sandy stretch, the exotic Baga Beach is home to diverse pictorial and pristine assets of nature in Goa. The peaceful ambience and secluded position of this popular beach in Goa, apart from endowing the beach with breathtaking natural beauties, presence of the Retreat House, and absence of a large number of tourist buses, has made Baga Beach in Goa one of the favorite tourist destinations for the beach lovers worldwide who love to indulge in various beach activities including an exciting range of water sports and fishing options at this beach.
Having doubtlessly the most famous arrays of restaurants in Goa ranging from local beach shacks to terrace cafes, the Baga Beach offers you to choose from various dining options starting from beachside candlelight dinners to authentic Goan meals, including mouthwatering seafood and luscious continental delicacies, served in the restaurants or shacks. Nightlife at Baga Beach is one of the liveliest in Goa because of the European tourists accommodating here, the Tito’s being the only venue on this beach having a dance floor. The Baga Beach of Goa is also home to numerous popular beach resorts including the Cavala Resort, Colonia Santa Maria and Lua Nova. The restaurants at Baga Beach include the Aqui Portal, Casa Portuguesa, Britto’s Restaurant, Club Tito, Lafremich Bar & Restaurant, Lila Café, Cavala Seaside Restaurant, Mombo Shack and Domingo’s Restaurant.
